What does counselling involve?

Counselling means talking with an impartial listener in a confidential, non-judgmental, supportive and respectful environment. This will create the opportunity for you to explore, to a greater depth, the thoughts and feelings that surround the difficulties and issues you are currently facing.
As a counsellor, I will encourage you to draw upon your own resources, I will help you to explore and work through problems by increasing your awareness and understanding. In doing so you will then be able to develop self-acceptance, personal insight, and to make any changes that you need to make in your life.
